Phoenix Suns player Mason Plumlee called out the Houston Rockets' Steven Adams after both players were ejected from their game on Wednesday for fighting.

The Rockets won the game 111-104, but the main talking point came in the second quarter when Plumlee and Adams were tangled up while battling for rebounding position.

Within seconds, both players were grappling on the floor with a sea of players, coaches and security surrounding them.

"He goes for every rebound, and he does it whether it's dirty or not," Plumlee told the Arizona Republic. "I just felt like they were being more physical than us, so I just made a point to hit him on the glass."

The pair ended up chest to chest after Adams had put his arms underneath Plumlee's and dragged him backwards before the latter pushed him in an attempt to separate himself.

After a short review, crew chief Tony Brothers announced double technical fouls and ejected both players.

"Their aggressive actions were considered a fight, and by rule, fighting technical fouls carry a penalty of automatic ejection," he told reporters.

Adams received a standing ovation from Rockets fans as he left the court, while coach Ime Udoka did not think the incident warranted ejection.

"There wasn't much," Rockets coach Ime Udoka said.

"Steven could do a lot more if he was really trying to wrestle. It looked like they got in a little bear hug and fell down. I thought that would maybe be a technical at best. Surprised they were ejected."
