'I want to win' - Curry urges Warriors to act before trade deadline
The Golden State Warriors have suffered an indifferent season of late, with Steph Curry saying trades can help turn their campaign around.
Stephen Curry has urged the Golden State Warriors to consider making a trade ahead of Thursday's deadline to halt their recent slump.
The Warriors fell to 24-24 for the season after being crushed by the Phoenix Suns 130-105 on Friday, led by impressive displays from Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Booker had 31 points and 11 assists, Durant scored 19 points, while Nick Richards added 14 points and 16 rebounds and Bradley Beal had 21 points off the bench.
Curry finished the contest with 14 points, while Moses Moody came off the bench to score 17 points for the Warriors, who had hoped to build some momentum after a brilliant 116-109 win over Western Conference leaders Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Warriors sit in 11th place in the West and with the NBA trade deadline less than a week away, Curry made it clear that moves must be made to turn their season around.
"The further you get from winning, (the trade deadline) becomes a little bit more of a sense of urgency," Curry said. "It's not for me to make those decisions. I want to win.
"So whatever it means to do that... That's not my job. I'm not a coach, I'm not a GM, I'm not an owner. It's pretty clear where I stand on it.
"Trying to make whatever necessary adjustments there are to win."

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had also expressed his concerns about his team's form in recent weeks, and also looked towards the trade deadline for reinforcements.
Kerr insisted that his team wasn't in a position to "stand pat", but said that general manager Mike Dunleavy was doing everything in his power to bring in some new faces.
"We're not in a position where we can just say, 'No, we're good. Let's stand pat,'" Kerr said Friday before Golden State's game against the Suns.
"That's the reality of where we are. (Mike Dunleavy) is doing his due diligence, doing his job. If there's something that makes sense, he's going to do it.
"And if not, I'm very comfortable going forward with this team because I know what we're capable of, and I believe in the guys."
