Jazz extend head coach Hardy through 2030-31 season
Will Hardy will continue to roam the Utah sidelines as the Jazz attempt to rebuild into a play-off contender.
The Utah Jazz will continue to have Will Hardy lead the team's rebuild after announcing Monday that they have given the 37-year-old head coach a contract extension through the 2030-31 campaign.
Hardy took over as Utah's head coach after Quin Snyder resigned in June 2022 and has gone 85-161 in three seasons without reaching the play-offs.
The Jazz won 37 and 31 games in their first two seasons under Hardy, respectively, before going a franchise and NBA-worst 17-65 in 2024-25.
"I love Utah and the Jazz organisation and am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue to help guide our team," Hardy said.
"I believe in what we are building. We have a talented group of coaches and people all working to build a championship program for this incredible fan base."

Hardy began his NBA coaching career as an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs in 2015 before moving on and spending one season as an assistant with the Boston Celtics in 2021-22.
"Will's leadership has been invaluable to our program," Jazz CEO Danny Ainge said.
"He has established a vision for our players and a strong foundation of core values, competitive habits, and growth mindset.
"He is one of the brightest young coaches in our league, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him."
Utah, the Washington Wizards (18-64) and Charlotte Hornets (19-63) each have a 14 per cent chance of winning the NBA Draft lottery next Monday and securing the No. 1 pick, which will likely be Duke freshman Cooper Flagg.
The Jazz also own the 21st overall selection in next month’s draft along with Nos. 43 and 53 in the second round.
