NBA: Curry exits with injury as surging Warriors hold off Raptors
Stephen Curry left with a pelvic contusion, but Jimmy Butler had a triple-double in the Warriors' 117-114 win over the Raptors
Jimmy Butler had 18 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists for his second triple-double with Golden State, and the Warriors held on to beat the Toronto Raptors 117-114 on Thursday night after Stephen Curry left the game with an injury.
Curry, who was held out of Tuesday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks to get rest, did not play the final 15 minutes after suffering a pelvic contusion. Curry was going for a rebound and got undercut before crashing hard to the floor. He remained down for several moments before getting helped to the locker room. He finished with 17 points.
Draymond Green added 21 points and seven rebounds and Quinten Post added 18 points on six 3-pointers to help the Warriors win their ninth in 10 games.
Scottie Barnes had 29 points and 10 rebounds for the Raptors. Immanuel Quickley scored 21 while Jakob Poeltl added 18 points and eight rebounds.
Steve Kerr’s squad completed a 6-1 homestand looking very much like a team ready to push deep into the postseason. The Warriors improved to 16-3 since acquiring Butler before the trade deadline.
With the Warriors clinging to a three-point lead late in the fourth quarter, Butler made a fantastic block on Jamal Shead’s layup attempt and was then fouled. He made both free throws to secure the win.

Bucks rout short-handed Lakers
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points and Gary Trent Jr. added 23 as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers 118-89.
Kyle Kuzma contributed 20 points and the Bucks swept the season series with two comfortable wins eight days apart.
Bronny James had 17 points to reach double figures for the first time in 22 NBA games, but the Lakers had their nine-game home winning streak snapped.
Los Angeles was without its top four scorers and five of its top six. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves didn't play in the second game of a back-to-back because of sprained right ankles, joining starters LeBron James and Rui Hachimura on the injury report. Key reserves Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle) and Jarred Vanderbilt (right groin strain) were also held out.
Milwaukee, which didn't have Damian Lillard available because of a calf injury, created separation by closing the first quarter on a 20-5 run that proved to be enough the rest of the way.
Dalton Knecht (17 points) and Gabe Vincent (9 points) struggled to help make up for so much missing offence, combining to shoot 8 for 26 (30.8%).
