Tiger Wood endured "one of the most embarrassing moments in my golfing career" following a yardage misunderstanding at the TGL.

The 15-time major winner teamed up with Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim for the Jupiter Links and New York Golf Club in the virtual indoor tournament in California.

Woods' tee shot on the 13th left him 199 yards from the hole. After consulting with his caddie, who he heard say "99", he then chose a wedge to leave himself 100 yards short.

While the 49-year-old immediately sought out his caddie and looked on in disbelief, team-mates Kisner and Kim were seen rolling on the floor in laughter.

"One of the most embarrassing moments in my golfing career just happened," Woods said. "I just screwed up. That was embarrassing."

Golfing caddies often drop the first number when they believe the yardage to be obvious.

Jupiter Links were beaten 10-3 in what was Woods' first appearance since the death of his mother earlier this month.
