Thuram to miss France's Nations League quarter-final with ankle injury
France have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their Nations League quarter-final, with Marcus Thuram dropping out of the squad.
France's Marcus Thuram will miss their two-legged Nations League quarter-final against Croatia this week due to an ankle injury.
The forward was initially named in Didier Deschamps' 24-man squad last week, but has since pulled out, the French Football Confederation confirmed on Monday.
Thuram said after Inter's Champions League second-leg win, which secured a 4-1 aggregate win over Feyenoord to send them into the quarter-finals, that he had been playing through injury for a month.
He did, however, play 90 minutes against Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday.

The 27-year-old has the most goal involvements for Inter in Serie A this term with 17 (13 goals, four assists), and is their leading scorer in the competition.
Of his goals, 11 have been scored from 'big' chances, while he averages a goal every 154.23 minutes in the competition, the best of any player to score more than twice.
However, he has struggled for France, with his last goal for the national side coming back in November 2023 in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Gibraltar, going 14 appearances without scoring since.
The first leg of France's quarter-final takes place in Split on Thursday, with the return leg at the Stade de France on March 23.
