Murillo signs new Nottingham Forest contract
Premier League surprise package Nottingham Forest have announced further good news as Murillo has agreed fresh terms.
Nottingham Forest defender Murillo has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract at the City Ground.
The 22-year-old still had three years to run on his existing deal, but is now tied down until the end of the 2028-29 season.
Forest confirmed news of the new contract for the Brazilian – who has been linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid – on their official website on Monday.
Murillo has made 57 appearances across all competitions for Forest since arriving from Brazilian side Corinthians in August 2023.
He has played a huge part in the Reds' remarkable Premier League campaign this season, starting 21 of their 22 matches as they sit third in the standings.
His name’s Murillo, and he’s ours until 2029.

The eight clean sheets Murillo boasts this season is bettered only by team-mate Nikola Milenkovic and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk (both nine).
For Nuno Espirito Santo's side in the top-flight this term, the Brazilian has also made a team-high 136 clearances, while no player has played more successful passes in the Premier League this season for Forest than Murillo (627).
"I'm very thankful and very happy that there are four more years to come. I’m thankful to everyone for the support – not just to me, but to my family as well," Murillo said.
"Everywhere I go, every shop, wherever it is, they treat my family and I really well. So, I’m very grateful for everything they do for myself and for the team.
"I’m sure that we’ve got a big future in front of us."
