Eriksen has 'come to terms' with Man Utd exit at end of season
Christian Eriksen's three-year stay at Manchester United looks to be coming to an end at the close of the 2024-25 season.
Christian Eriksen has accepted that he is set to leave Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of the current season.
The Dane confirmed United have yet to approach him over possibly extending his stay at Old Trafford, with only three months left of the campaign.
Eriksen joined United on a free transfer in July 2022 on a three-year contract after leaving Brentford and enjoyed an impressive debut campaign before an injury put a halt to it.
He has made 99 appearances for the club in all competitions, netting seven goals and notching 17 assists.
This term, he has played 27 times across all competitions, registering eight goal involvements (four goals, four assists), the fifth-best tally among his team-mates.
"I haven't been told anything, and when I don't, I assume that the collaboration will stop," Eriksen told TV Sport.
"That's how I interpret it. Everyone knows that the contract expires, so I reckon there is only one way.
"I have come to terms with finding a new club. Where it will be, I don't know yet, but I am free on the market, and I have not tried that before.
"I was also free after the cardiac arrest, but it was a slightly different situation."
While Eriksen is not sure where his next move will be, he does not expect to return to his home country.
"I still feel I have a few good years left abroad," he added, also ruling out a switch to MLS in the potentially finishing stages of his career.
"Football-wise, I don't feel I'm at the point where I want to move home to Denmark and play in the Superliga. The family will not travel that far.
"I haven't seen anything I really want to try, so I'll see what comes up and what suits me and the family."
