Chukwuemeka seals Dortmund loan switch from Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund have brought in Carney Chukwuemeka for the second half of the season, with the option for a permanent deal at the end.
Borussia Dortmund have signed Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season.
Chukwuemeka will initially stay with Dortmund until the end of 2024-25, but the Bundesliga side have the option to buy him at the end of the campaign.
The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in August 2022 but has struggled for game time this season under Enzo Maresca.
He has made 32 appearances for the Blues in all competitions since his arrival, though has featured just five times this term, starting only once.
Chukwuemeka netted two goals for Chelsea, also laying on one assist.

"It is very exciting for me, and I am truly honoured to be part of this great club," Chukwuemeka told Dortmund's media channels.
"I can't wait to play in front of the fans at Signal Iduna Park and help us all to be successful together."
Dortmund have a history of signing young English players, with Chukwuemeka following in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, Jude Bellingham and Jamie Gittens.
Dortmund currently sit 11th in the Bundesliga, with Niko Kovac taking charge of the club on Sunday following Nuri Sahin's dismissal last month.
