'Genuis' Arteta has Arsenal ready for PSG test, says Lewis-Skelly
Arsenal face a tough task against Paris Saint-Germain if they are to reach the Champions League final, but Myles Lewis-Skelly is ready.
Myles Lewis-Skelly believes Arsenal are ready for the challenge of facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals thanks to their "genius" boss Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal welcome PSG to the Emirates Stadium in the first leg on Tuesday in what is their first Champions League final four clash since 2009 against Manchester United.
Arteta's team have impressed in this year's competition and are unbeaten in their last eight games, only managing a longer streak in 2005-06 (12), when they reached the final.
The Gunners have already faced the recently crowned Ligue 1 champions in the competition this year, with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz sealing a 2-0 win in October.
This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams in Europe, with the Gunners being unbeaten across their previous five matches against the French side (W2 D3).
Lewis-Skelly has enjoyed a breakthrough year in north London, making 36 appearances across all competitions, including eight outings in the Champions League.
And though the 18-year-old acknowledged the difficulty Luis Enrique's side pose, he was looking forward to the prospect of potentially another memorable night at the Emirates.
"As a team, we are prepared, and we are ready," Lewis-Skelly told Sky Sports. "We are in good form currently, and we are excited to play PSG because they are in good form too.
"It will be a good challenge for us because they are in good form and have a full team out. There are no excuses going into the game. We are ready."

Lewis-Skelly's confidence is largely down to Arteta, with the Spaniard having won 29 of his 46 Champions League matches in charge of the Gunners (D8 L9).
The teenager praised Arteta's thoroughness and insisted there is so much to learn from his manager, saying: "His attention to detail is incredible.
"I love to learn, so learning from him and the way he handles and approaches the games, it's fascinating. There's so much I can take from him. He's a genius really."
Lewis-Skelly's rise into the first-team picture at Arsenal has seen him deployed in a defensive role, operating as a left-back due to injury issues at the back for the Gunners.
The England international came through Arsenal's academy as a midfielder, but said that his transition to a new position has been an enjoyable one.
"It's been a smooth process because I love to learn, and I love to improve," he said.
"That pursuit of learning every day and to grow. I love to ask questions. If I don't know the answer yet, I'll make sure to ask the question.
"It was a smooth process for me because, obviously, I'm a midfielder by trade, but the position wasn't unnatural to me. I've enjoyed it."
