Hamilton 'full of life' after Ferrari switch
Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton says his move to Ferrari has reinvigorated him, following 11 years with Mercedes.
Lewis Hamilton has declared he feels "full of life" following his switch to Ferrari ahead of the new Formula One season.
Hamilton brought the curtain down on a glittering 11-year stint with Mercedes last year, having announced prior to the 2024 season that he would join the Scuderia for 2025.
He won six of his seven drivers' championships – a joint-record alongside Michael Schumacher – with the Silver Arrows, but he finished a lowly seventh in the drivers' standings in his final season with the team.
Hamilton drove his first laps in a Ferrari at a testing event in Italy last month, and on Tuesday, he made his first global appearance in the team's colours in London.
Speaking in front of 15,000 fans at the O2 Arena, where F1 held a glamorous, season-opening show, Hamilton said: "It's such a great night to be here among all of you.
"The word I am thinking about is 'invigorated'.
"I feel so full of life, because everything is new. Just focused on what's ahead. I am so excited to be part of the team."

Ferrari will conduct its own launch of the team's new SF-25 car on Wednesday, with Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc driving the vehicle.
Pre-season testing will begin in Bahrain on February 26, ahead of the campaign getting under way with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
"My first few weeks have been absolutely incredible and I've seen first-hand the passion and dedication of the entire team, so the unveiling today of my first-ever Scuderia Ferrari HP car is really exciting," Hamilton told Ferrari's website.
"So much hard work has gone into preparing for the season ahead and we couldn't be more hungry or determined to succeed.
"I came into the year with so much anticipation for this new chapter, and I'm even more energised now by the spirit and belief of everyone I've met over the past month. I couldn't be prouder to be on this journey with them."
