Brest 2-5 Paris Saint-Germain: Dembele hat-trick inspires win
Ousmane Dembele played a starring role for Paris Saint-Germain once again on Saturday, getting his second hat-trick this week.
Ousmane Dembele scored his second hat-trick of the week as he helped Paris Saint-Germain to a 5-2 win over Brest on Saturday.
Goncalo Ramos also added a late double to make sure of the points, extending their unbeaten streak and moving 13 points clear of second-place Marseille.
Dembele, who struck three times in PSG's 4-1 win at Stuttgart in the Champions League on Wednesday, opened the scoring for the visitors just before the half-hour mark, tapping into an empty net from Bradley Barcola's short cross.
However, Brest clawed themselves back level just five minutes after the break through Romain Del Castillo's strike across goal.
Dembele gave them a two-goal cushion with two goals in five minutes shortly after. He neatly latched onto Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's deflected pass to slot in his second before getting his third from the edge of the six-yard box.
Ludovic Ajorque looked to have set up a nervy ending by pulling one back in the 71st minute, but Ramos' late double put the result beyond doubt as he scored twice from close range in the closing stages.
Defending champions PSG moved to 50 points from 20 matches, while eighth-placed Brest remained on 28 points.
A hat-trick from @dembouz + a double from @Goncalo88Ramos = a great afternoon in Brest!

Data Debrief: Hat-trick hero
It has been quite the week for Dembele, as he followed up his starring role in the Champions League against Stuttgart with another treble in the league.
He is the first PSG player ever to score consecutive hat-tricks in all competitions. He has also scored in each of his last five Ligue 1 matches (nine goals) and brought up his 14th league goal of the campaign.
PSG are still unbeaten in the French top-flight (W15 D5), going through the first 20 games of the season without defeat for just the fourth time (also in 1985-86, 2915-16 and 2018-19).
Brest, meanwhile, continued their torrid form at home against the Parisians, and have now lost their last eight such Ligue 1 matches against them.
