Boult and Rohit ensure Mumbai extend winning run after Sunrisers collapse
Mumbai Indians moved up to third in the IPL table after earning a second win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the space of a week.
Trent Boult and Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to a seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League on Wednesday.
Mumbai profited from another Sunrisers collapse, with Boult helping skittle out the hosts for 143-8 before Rohit led the chase as they won with 26 balls remaining.
Things did not start well for Sunrisers, with the top order dispatched within the first five overs without any of the top four reaching double digits.
Boult (4-26) took Travis Head for a duck in the second over and Abhishek Sharma (8) in the fourth, alternating with Deepak Chahar (2-12), who dismissed Ishan Kishan (1) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (2).
Aniket Verma (12) was caught by Ryan Rickelton to see Sunrisers fall to 35-5, but Heinrich Klaasen soon got his side back in contention with his knock of 71.
However, Mumbai finished the innings strongly, with two wickets for Boult from his last three balls, including that of Abhinav Manohar (41).
Jaydev Unadkat caught and bowled Rickelton for just 11 in the chase, but Mumbai were still firmly in control as Rohit plundered 70, including eight fours and three sixes, to push his team forward.
Will Jacks (22) and Suryakumar Yadav (40 not out) also chipped in, with the latter hitting the winning boundary, taking Mumbai to 146-3 and securing a fourth consecutive victory.

Data Debrief: Rohit out on top
Rohit's stand built on the strong foundation set by Boult with the ball, and he made a bit of history in the process.
He hit three sixes in the match, and he now has the most maximums for Mumbai in T20 cricket. He has 260 for the team, moving past Kieron Pollard (258).
Rohit's knock also saw him pass the milestone of 12,000 runs in T20 cricket.
