NBA: Thunder roil past Pacers for 9th straight win

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 33 points and the NBA-leading Thunder won their 9th in a row, 132-111 over the Pacers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Indiana Pacers 132-111 on Saturday night for their ninth straight win.

Gilgeous-Alexander, the league's leading scorer, made 10 of 23 field goals and 10 of 12 free throws.

Lu Dort scored 22 points and made 6 of 7 3-pointers while Jalen Williams added 18 points for the NBA-leading Thunder.

Tyrese Haliburton had 18 points and Andrew Nembhard added 16 for the Pacers, who had won six of their previous seven games.

Oklahoma City dominated, even though forward/center Chet Holmgren sat out to manage the left hip injury he suffered early in the season. The Thunder now have a three-game lead on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the race for the league’s best record and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs with eight to play.

Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein left with left hip soreness and did not play in the second half, but they outscored the Pacers 71-62 after the break.

Oklahoma City's Isaiah Joe hit a pair of 3-pointers 45 seconds apart late in the third quarter to extend the lead to 98-78.

Tatum keeps Celtics streaking

Jayson Tatum had 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists and the Boston Celtics won their eighth straight, 121-111 over the San Antonio Spurs.

Jrue Holiday had 21 points, six rebounds and six assists and seven of the eight Celtics who played scored in double figures.

Keldon Johnson had 23 points and Stephon Castle added 22 as the Spurs lost their third straight.

Luke Kornet had 15 points and 16 rebounds against the undersized Spurs. He was 7 for 10 from the field.

Boston was 8 for 17 on 3-pointers in the first quarter in building a 36-27 lead and never trailed in the final three quarters.

Lakers beat Grizzlies to spoil Iisalo’s debut

Austin Reaves had 31 points and eight assists, Luka Doncic added 29 points and nine assists and the Los Angeles Lakers held on for a 134-127 win over Memphis in the Grizzlies' first game under interim coach Tuomas Iisalo.

LeBron James scored 25 points as the Lakers led by 20 points in the first half, but squandered the advantage to make it a close game in the fourth quarter.

Desmond Bane led Memphis with 29 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. added 24. Ja Morant finished with 22 points and 10 assists in his return after missing six games with a hamstring injury.

Iisalo took over Friday night hours after Memphis fired Taylor Jenkins, the winningest coach in franchise history, with nine games left in the regular season.

The teams exchanged the lead through the middle part of the fourth quarter when Doncic entered with about eight minutes left. After four straight points from Doncic and a 3-pointer from Dorian Finney-Smith, the Lakers retook the lead.
